Tomb Stone Tuesday - Isaiah Stewart

Back some 13 or 14 years ago, I took this photo of my 2nd great-grandfather's headstone. It was practically illegible at the time and I imagine is much worse today. I wish I had know how to clean it up some to get a better picture but this is the best I have.

  1. Hi, I don't know if you are still active on this site, but this is my great-great-great grandfather through Mary Jane Benefiel who is buried next to him. Last year, one of my cousins from the area had his stone repaired. I have a current picture. I have been trying to research Isaiah's father from Kentucky and would glad of any information you have there. Let me know and how to contact you. Suzanne

    1. Hi Suzanne,
I have been very bad about blogging for awhile but I am still active. I have lots of info on the Stewart/Benefiel/Bucannan lines. However, I too have not beenable to trace David Stewart, Isaiah's Dad, beyond Kentucky. Actually, I have some doubts about what I have found. I think there may be a generation skipped.

You can contact me at bhiggins9@gmail.com. I'll be happy to share what I have. I'm not currently working these lines because I'm trying to get a book out on my mother-in-law's family.
